Water Intrusion Inspection in Brevard County

Water is getting into your home and you cannot see where. We find it. A technician checks your walls, ceilings and floors with moisture meters and a thermal camera, then shows you what is wet and how far it goes. The on-site moisture evaluation is free.

Call (321) 890-2512 Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Signs water is getting in

  • A stain on a ceiling or wall that shows up after rain
  • A musty smell you cannot trace
  • Paint that bubbles or peels
  • Wood floors that cup or buckle
  • Baseboards that swell, or carpet that stays damp near an outside wall

How the inspection works

  1. Call Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. If water is active, a technician is normally on site within the hour.
  2. We take moisture readings on the surfaces and in the walls and floors.
  3. A thermal camera scan shows wet areas behind walls and ceilings without cutting into them first.
  4. We map what is wet and record readings and photos.
  5. We explain what we found in plain words. If drying is needed, dry-out is typically 3 to 4 days.

What you get

  • A clear answer on whether the area is wet, where, and how far it goes
  • Readings and photos documented for your insurance claim. We work for you, not the insurance company.
  • If we see signs of mold, we inspect it and tell you whether a formal mold assessment is needed. See our mold inspection page.

We find and document where the moisture is. Fixing the source, such as a roof, window or plumbing repair, is done by a licensed contractor, and we refer customers to contractors we work with.

A recent job: window leak in Melbourne

A Melbourne homeowner had a small, ongoing leak near a bedroom window and was worried about mold behind the drywall. We opened the wall below the window and looked. We found no signs of mold, and we found where the water was getting in. We kept the homeowner updated the whole way through.

“We had a small, but ongoing water leak near a bedroom window and a concern about whether mold was present behind the surrounding drywall. We called Affordable Water and Mold Removal and Ryan and his team confirmed that mold was not an issue but also found the source of the leak in the process. Great service and prompt communication.”
